Visitors and Meran people all enjoy the excellent programme of varied music, operettea, theatre and folklore which the town has to offer on warm, balmy, summer evenings whether under the arcades, in the town centre or along the cooler river promenade. The classic Meraner Musikwochen Festival in August and September with its line-up of well-known international stars is always a great success as is the international Meranofest Music Festival and the open-air concerts and evening entertainment programme at the Botanical Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle.
