Merano Music Weeks

August 26th to September 20th 2013
The Merano/Meran Music Weeks, one of the most significant festivals for classical music in Europe, were first hosted in 1986 on the occasion of the health resort’s 150th anniversary. Only the very best and most innovative orchestras and chamber music ensembles come to play here, guaranteeing superb entertainment and quality of performance. 
Every year the festival focuses on a different style of classical music, but there are always some more experimental “crossover” performances as well.
In 2013, the Music Weeks comprise three independent concert selections:
* symphonic orchestras in the concert hall
* “Matinée Classique” chamber music concerts in the Fleur pavilion
* “Colors of Music” crossover concerts in the town theater
